TEMPORARY PROFESSION

When a sister meets the requirements of the novitiate and if the discernment of her vocation is clear to both the community and herself, she vows to live in chastity, poverty, and obedience for two years. The Provincial Superior receives these vows in the context of the Mass and the newly professed sister receives white veil and the emblem of the congregation.

Supported by the prayers of the community, the newly professed sister enters more fully into the life and mission of the congregation. Our new Sisters strive to grow in a loving knowledge of God. They learn to better integrate prayer and daily living, including their apostolate while living out their vows. Walking in the light with unswerving step, they pursue Gospel perfection to which the Spirit of the Lord has called them. As her vocation is tested and mutual discernment continues, she accordingly renews her vows yearly until the time of perpetual profession.
